NEXT CITY COUNCIL MEETING - Work Session - March 10, 2010.  The next City Council Meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. at 2600 West Taylorsville Blvd., in the City Council Chambers. 
 
NEXT PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING - The next Planning Commission is Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers (2600 West Taylorsville Blvd).

TOWN MEETING - You are invited to a Town Meeting on Wednesday, March 31, at 6:00 p.m., in City Council Chambers, 2600 West Taylorsville Blvd.  Bring your questions, comments, and ideas to elected officials and staff in an open forum.

UDOT - UDOT is hosting a Meet the Contractors Open House regarding the 6200 South Redwood Continuous Flow Intersection Project on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 from 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Taylorsville City Council Chambers, 2600 West Taylorsville Blvd. 

EQUALITY UTAH - Equality Utah will give a presentation of a Non-Discrimination Ordinance on Monday, March 29, 2010 at 5:30 p.m. in City Council Chambers, 2600 West Taylorsville Blvd.   

OFF-LEASH AREA AT MILLRACE PARK - The Park is located at 1200 West 5400 South. Dogs must be on a leash in the main park.  Winter Hours (Nov. 1 through March 31): The area is open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. The off-leash area is open on Saturdays from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. and on Sundays from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.  The area is closed all day on Tuesday.  A permit tag is required for your dog to use the off-leash area at Millrace Park.  The tag is available for $10 for Taylorsville residents and $25 for non-residents.  The tag must be renewed each year.  Senior residents may purchase tags for $5.00 and senior non-residents will be charged $10.  YOUR PET MUST BE LICENSED BEFORE BEING ISSUED A PARK TAG.  Call 963-5400 for more information.  

CABLE TELEVISION - Local government and educational information is now being broadcast on a new cable channel through VTV (Valley Television) on Channel 17. Taylorsville content can be viewed between the hours of 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m., 12:00 noon - 1:00 p.m., and 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on Channel 17. Please contact the Mayor's office to offer input in programming.

PLAYGROUND - The Handicap-Accessible Playground is available at Millrace Park (1200 West 5400 South).

ANIMAL CONTROL SERVICES - Animal Control Services for Taylorsville Residents are now being provided by West Valley City.  The new address of the West Valley Shelter is 4522 W. 3500 S., and hours of operation are 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.  The shelter is closed on weekends and holidays.  For animal services during regular business hours, please call 801-965-5800 and after hours, call 801-840-4000. 

TAYLORSVILLE JUSTICE COURT - The Taylorsville Court is open Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 7:00 a.m to 7:00 p.m. The Court is open on Monday and Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The Court is closed Tuesdays from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The Court is closed on Saturdays.

COURT PAYMENT BOX - A payment box is located on the south side of City Hall for Justice Court Payments.

TAYLORSVILLE BENNION HERITAGE CENTER - The Taylorsville Bennion Heritage Center is looking for volunteers at the museum who can conduct tours and also be involved in other museum activities. If you are interested, or would like more information, please contact Joan White at 801-265-8478.
