The Community Development Department has created the following application forms. Most forms have been provided in a downloadable Adobe PDF File format. In order to view and print these forms, you must have Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader installed on your computer. If needed, you may download a free copy of Adobe Reader by clicking here.

Building Division:

  • Building Permit Application Form The Building Permit application form is a multi-part carbonless form and is only available at the Community Development Department, which is located on the second floor, east wing of the Taylorsville City Hall at 2600 West Taylorsville Boulevard (5325 S), Taylorsville, Utah 84129. Business License Division:

  • Business License Application Form The Business License application form is a multi-part carbonless form and is only available at the Community Development Department, which is located on the second floor, east wing of the Taylorsville City Hall at 2600 West Taylorsville Boulevard (5325 S), Taylorsville, Utah 84129. For more information, or to request an application be sent by mail, please contact the Business License Division at (801) 963-5400.

Engineering Division:

  • Excavation Permit Application Form The Excavation Permit application form is not available in a downloadable format at this time. To obtain a copy of this form, please contact the Building Department at (801) 955-2030. The form is also available from the Taylorsville Community Development Department, which is located on the second floor, east wing of the Taylorsville City Hall at 2600 West Taylorsville Boulevard (5325 S), Taylorsville, Utah 84129.
  • Street Dedication Application Form A property owner (or owners) of a private street may submit an application to the City requesting dedication of a private street to the City. If accepted, the street would become public property maintained by the City. For more information on application requirements and procedures, please contact the City Engineer or a staff member of the Community Development Department at (801) 963-5400.

Neighborhood Compliance Division:

  • Conditional Animal Permit Application Form The Conditional Animal Permit application form is for residents who would like to request a "conditional use permit" to care for more than two adult cats, dogs, or other regulated pet or companion animals. This application form may also be used to obtain zoning approval of "dangerous" or "exotic" animals as defined by the City of Taylorsville. Planning and Zoning Division:

  • Board of Adjustment Application Form Under certain limited circumstances, the Taylorsville Board of Adjustment is authorized to "modify" the terms of the Taylorsville Zoning Ordinance by granting a zoning variance. A variance is a modification of the terms of a zoning ordinance in cases where the zoning ordinance imposes an undue hardship on a property owner.   • Community Development Block Grant Standard Proposal Form The City of Taylorsville Department of Community Development announces the Applications for the FY 2008-2009 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program will be available on November 1, 2007. Applications may be obtained at the City of Taylorsville offices at 2600 West Taylorsville Boulevard or on line "click her to download an application." Applications are due by 5:00 PM December 3, 2007. Applications must be submitted to the City offices by this date in order to be considered for funding for FY 2008-2009.   • Conditional Use Permit Application Form The term "conditional use" refers to a land use that would not be permitted under the normal regulations of a zoning district, however a proposed land use may be made acceptable within the district if development of the use complies with specified additional standards or special conditions of approval.   • Deep Lot Development Application Form Under certain conditions, the City of Taylorsville may allow residential development on underutilized land that is isolated from a public street but may be made accessible by a private road or easement. This type of property is commonly referred to as a “deep lot” or “flag lot.   • General Plan Amendment Application Form The General Plan is the official statement for Taylorsville that establishes and articulates polices for future physical development. The General Plan includes text, maps and small area master plans. The General Plan Amendment application form is used to petition the City to change these plans.   • Noise Ordinance Exception Application Form The City of Taylorsville has adopted a noise ordinance in order to regulate excessive and disturbing noise within the City. Under certain circumstances, it may be appropriate to exceed the normal requirements of the City's noise ordinance. This application form contains basic information that describes the application requirements.
  • Permitted Use Site Plan Review Application Form A permitted use is any specific land use that is allowed within a zoning district subject to the restrictions applicable to that zone. Permitted uses have also been described as a “use by right”. To determine if a land use is considered as a permitted use within the City of Taylorsville, please contact a member of the Planning Department or refer to the City of Taylorsville Code of Ordinance Title 13, entitled Zoning.   • Pre-application Conference Application Form As a service to residents, businesses, property owners and developers within the City of Taylorsville, the Community Development Department conducts a weekly pre-application conference with individuals seeking various City permits and approvals for development. The pre-application conference is made available at no cost to the applicant.   • Sign Permit Application Form The Sign Permit application form is for permanent signs only. A Sign Permit application must be submitted to the City for all new sign construction and remodeling as regulated by the City.   • Subdivision Application Form The Utah Municipal Code 10-9 Part 8 empowers cities with legislative authority to enact subdivision ordinances. The City of Taylorsville has adopted subdivision regulations, which can be found in Title 12 of the City of Taylorsville Code of Ordinances.   • Zoning Amendment Application Form This application form is used to request a change to the Taylorsville Zoning Ordinance. A zoning amendment application will include either a "text" or "map" amendment.
