Planning and Zoning
Applications | General Plan | Information Forms
Planning and Zoning is a process dedicated to the concept of the public good (a.k.a. the public interest) that strives to improve communities by providing healthy and safe living conditions, efficient transportation systems, adequate public facilities, aesthetic surroundings, and an appropriate blend of land uses. The Taylorsville Planning Division is responsible for developing and implementing long range master plans and ordinances, and providing staff support for the Taylorsville Planning Commission and Board of Adjustment. The Planning Division is supervised by Michael Meldrum, and is staffed by a full time city planner and full time GIS specialist. The Taylorsville Planning Division is located at Taylorsville City Hall, 2600 West Taylorsville Boulevard, and is open Monday-Friday (except holidays) from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
