CERT STAGING AREAS and AREA COORDINATORS

The City of Taylorsville has an organized CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) program. CERT allows for additional trained emergency response in light fire suppression, light search and rescue and light medical in the event that our professional first responders are overwhelmed.

The City has been divided into 6 response “Areas” (click here to see attached map). Each area has Area Coordinators who assist in preparedness planning and response. Their staging areas are identified on this map. Not all CERT trained citizens have signed up on a CERT team and therefore would report to the designated location listed for their area if they would like to join in response. Any CERT volunteer who is on a team will select a staging location in their neighborhood in coordination with their assigned Team Leader/Incident Commander and their designated Area Coordinator.
