Taylorsville City is continuing to identify areas for bicycle lanes, running routes and walking trails. Most neighborhoods are desirable areas for residents to increase their physical activity.
The East border of the city is the Jordan River and it's trail system. A popular place for running, walking, bicycling, horseback riding and rollerblading, this trail extends for miles in both directions.
The annual Taylorsville Dayzz 5K is run every June prior to the parade. The course has some elevation changes and goes through neighborhoods and along shade covered roads. It's a stunning route and a great route for year round biking, walking and jogging.
The Salt Lake County Bicycle Advisory Committee (SLCBAC) has created a map of popular bike routes through the valley. Review their page for a downloadable map and all the bike safety suggestions and laws in Utah.
