Public Safety Committee
The Taylorsville Public Safety Committee members include Roger Anderson, Arthur Bridgewater, Garl Fink, Jack Green (Vice Chairperson), Officer Jennifer Gober (Police Department Representative), Tony Henderson, Peggy Sadler (Chairperson), Lisa Schwartz, Arlene Zortman. The City Council advisor for this committee is Councilman Larry Johnson.
The Taylorsville Public Safety Committee goals are to 1) provide information to citizens to assist them in promoting safety and preventing crime; 2) support other Taylorsville Action Committees; and 3) promote awareness and provide information regarding emergency preparedness.
Some of our activities include:

Write timely articles on public safety issues for the Taylorsville journal

Write and publish information on public safety issues

Host an information booth at Taylorsville Dayzz

Encourage citizens to form Neighborhood watch organizations

Host an information booth at the health fair sponsored by the Healthy Taylorsville Committee

Encourage citizens to form Community Emergency Response Teams

Support the Emergency Volunteer Coordinating Committee, which is a subcommittee of the Public Safety Committee
The committee meets the first Thursday of every month at 6:00 p.m. in room 204 in the Taylorsville City Building. Our meetings are open to everyone.
We are seeking new members. All Taylorsville citizens are invited to join us.
