Tonight's Starry Nights @the Plaza event features the Food Truck League food trucks and jazz and blues music from the Nick Markosian Quartet.

It's all happening at Centennial Plaza, 2600 W. Taylorsville Blvd., on Friday, Aug. 29. The food trucks arrive at 5:30 p.m., and the Nick Markosian Quartet will play on the Centennial Plaza stage in front of City Hall at 6:30 p.m. Go to thefoodtruckleague.com for the lineup of the food trucks that will be there. The Nick Markosian Quartet features Taylorsville business leader Nick Markosian who plays alto saxophone. Markosian played in high school and with the Jazz Department at the University of Utah but didn't pick up his saxophone much afterward until about three years ago. Now, he frequently plays at local events and restaurants with his band.

Taylorsville's Starry Nights is free so bring your friends or family for an evening out together on the plaza! Look for something happening every Friday night on the plaza through Sept. 26.
