Tonight's Starry Nights @the Plaza event features three musical performers, in addition to the food trucks. Here's the lineup:

  • 5:30 p.m. – Food trucks arrive.
  • 6 p.m. – Trip Van Winkle is the current chapter of singer-songwriter Cody Robinson, an indie folk/pop artist. Now based in Salt Lake City, his path has taken him from Carnegie Hall stages to post-earthquake Nepal. Listen to a sampling of his music here.

  • 7 p.m. – Carter Prescott plays a wide variety of genres on his ukulele. He has been singing his entire life and playing ukulele for 16 years. He has performed at previous Starry Nights, other food truck events and farmers markets. Listen to a preview of his music on his YouTube channel.

  • 8 p.m. – Desert Heartstrings captivate audiences with their tight vocal harmonies and a rich tapestry of folk instruments, including acoustic guitar, banjo, mandolin, kick drum and tambourine. The duo brings a soulful, rootsy touch to classics by The Beatles, Johnny Cash and Neil Young, while blending in hits from contemporary artists like Zach Bryan, Chris Stapleton and The Lumineers. Catch a sample of their music on YouTube.

It's all happening at Centennial Plaza, 2600 W. Taylorsville Blvd., on Friday, May 29. Go to thefoodtruckleague.com for the lineup of the food trucks that will be there. (Scroll to the date and then click "Show Trucks" for Taylorsville League Night).

The Starry Nights event is free so bring your friends or family for an evening out together on the plaza! Look for something happening every Friday night on the plaza through Sept. 25.
