Tonight's Starry Nights @the Plaza event features Tony Summerhays, playing R&B, funk and soul, and blues power band The Mitch Raymond Trio. Of course, the Food Truck League food trucks will be there, too.
It's what's happening at Centennial Plaza, 2600 W. Taylorsville Blvd., on Friday, June 12. The food trucks arrive at 5:30 p.m.; Tony Summerhays plays on the Centennial Plaza stage in front of City Hall at 6 p.m., and The Mitch Raymond Trio begins at 7. The Mitch Raymond Trio is an electric blues trio featuring Taylorsville’s own Mitch Olson on guitar and vocals, David Moreno on bass and Ricardo Romero on drums. The band was formed in 2018 by Mitch and Ricardo. Expect to get your fill of BB King, Albert Collins, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Ray Charles and more. Catch a preview of their music on their website.
The Starry Nights live music event is free so bring your friends or family for an evening out together on the plaza! Look for something happening every Friday night on the plaza through Sept. 25.
