Tonight's Starry Nights @the Plaza event features classic rock and roll from Code Blue Revival and an outdoor movie, in addition to the food trucks.
It's what's happening at Centennial Plaza, 2600 W. Taylorsville Blvd., on Friday, July 31. The food trucks arrive at 5:30 p.m.; Code Blue Revival plays on the Centennial Plaza stage in front of City Hall at 6:30 p.m., and the movie "Elf" begins at 9. Go to thefoodtruckleague.com for the lineup of the food trucks that will be there. (Scroll to the date and then click "Show Trucks" for Taylorsville League Night).
Code Blue Revival has been performing for 30-plus years together. Their unique style of tight harmony lines supported by superb drums and acoustic guitar brings a balance to music not heard since the '60s and '70s. The band consists of five members, John Diehl, Mark Milligan, Doug Pierce, Gary Bullock and Mark Broadway. Listen to a sample of their music here.
The Starry Nights event, including the music and movie, is free so bring your friends or family for an evening out together on the plaza! Look for something happening every Friday night on the plaza through Sept. 25.
