Starry Nights

Enjoy Live Music, a Bite from the Food Trucks

Tonight's Starry Nights @the Plaza event features Kristy Ballard, playing acoustic folk, pop and country music, and bluegrass band Bridging Betty. Of course, the Food Truck League food trucks will be there, too.

It's what's happening at Centennial Plaza, 2600 W. Taylorsville Blvd., on Friday, Sept. 18. The food trucks arrive at 5:30 p.m.; Kristy Ballard plays on the Centennial Plaza stage in front of City Hall at 6 p.m., and Bridging Betty begins at 6:45 p.m. Go to thefoodtruckleague.com for the lineup of the food trucks that will be there. (Scroll to the date and then click "Show Trucks" for Taylorsville League Night).

Kristy Ballard was born and raised in Taylorsville and loves being a part of the Taylorsville community. She enjoys singing and playing the piano, acoustic guitar and, as an homage to her German roots, her Oma's accordion. Listen to a sample of her music here.

Bridging Betty is an Americana band made up of a husband, wife, brother-in-law and a couple of Utah neighbors. They appreciate many styles of music and have combined their efforts to celebrate mountain music on the Wasatch Front. Catch a preview of their music on their YouTube channel.

The Starry Nights live music event is free so bring your friends or family for an evening out together on the plaza! Look for something happening every Friday night on the plaza through Sept. 25.
