City Lands on National Top 10 List
"Make way for Taylorsville—It's coming full throttle into the economic race." That's how a new report describes Taylorsville in naming it as the No. 8 best small city in the nation to start a small business.
The report by Verizon notes Taylorsville's accessibility and prime location in the heart of the Salt Lake Valley. "Taylorsville is a happy medium as far as income, commute time and access to loans goes," according to the report. The list is based on such financial and demographic factors as education, travel time to work, per capita income, loans per capita and tax scores.
Taylorsville is one of four Utah cities to make the Top 10. The report was released to coincide with the celebration of National Small Business Week, May 5-11.
