Fingerprinting Utah wants to make any necessary fingerprinting easy, convenient and worry free. They strive to be approachable and friendly, and now they have a new location in Taylorsville.
The business, located at 5204 S. Redwood Road, recently celebrated their grand opening with a Ribbon Cutting, joined by city officials and representatives of ChamberWest.
“I wanted a whole bunch of people here today because I think we’re going to make a difference,” owner Maridee Killian said at the July 2 event. “We have a mission, and this mission I think is very important.”
Fingerprinting Utah, which also has a location in American Fork, is recognized as Utah’s No. 1 registered fingerprinting service. They provide general fingerprinting services, as well as electronic fingerprinting for ATF compliance and Utah driving privilege cards.
The business also welcomes undocumented residents, helping to open “the pathway to being insured, feeling secure and creating belonging.”
In addition to fingerprinting services, the company offers a six-hour driving privilege course tailored to native Spanish speakers. The course helps participants better understand and pass the Utah Driver License Test in English. Fingerprinting Utah emphasizes a non-punitive, empathetic approach that is done at a fast pace.
“We’ve developed a passion for this,” said Killian, who was joined at the Ribbon Cutting by her 91-year-old father (they are pictured together below). “Our graduates feel empowered.”
Taylorsville Chief of Strategic Engagement Dina Blaes, who attended the Ribbon Cutting on behalf of Mayor Kristie Overson, welcomed Fingerprinting Utah to Taylorsville, noting the city as business friendly and eager to help new ventures flourish.
Fingerprinting Utah welcomes walk-in customers during their business hours; you can also schedule an appointment or mobile services by calling 801-769-6344. They are open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. See more at fingerprintingutah.com
