Perfect Location, Easy to Do Business

Without a doubt, Taylorsville is the place to be for business. Our location, right in the heart of the Salt Lake Valley, is perfect for investment and new growth. Both emerging and legacy areas define the community such as the 2700 West Employment Center, which will include the coming Bus Rapid Transit line; Sorenson Research Park, which has available parcels; Utah State University – Salt Lake Center at Taylorsville; the Redwood Road Mobility and Beautification Project from 4100 to 5400 South; the new Summit Vista Retirement Community; and the new Mid-Valley Regional Performing Arts Center.

In addition, the city is engaged in master-planning efforts focused on the city's retail centers, as well as commercial district envisioning and revitalization. Businesses, both large and small, will find a supportive environment and plenty of opportunity in Taylorsville. Please contact us to learn more:

Ribbon Cutting Marks Grand Opening in Taylorsville

New Service Shop

Grease Monkey 1“Done fast. Done right. No Monkey Business.” Grease Monkey’s motto perfectly defines its operations. Besides their full oil-change service, they offer brake and battery checks, air-conditioning maintenance, transmission services and more — and the shop is now open in Taylorsville.

Located at 3718 W. 5400 South, the family-owned Grease Monkey in Taylorsville celebrated its grand opening on July 11, along with city officials and representatives from ChamberWest.

“Human connection, that’s what we thrive for,” said owner Kevin Crandall. “It’s all about the customer connection. If we can make the customer’s day, that’s what we’re all about.”

Crandall, who opened the new Grease Monkey with his wife, Coco, said he found the business about 20 years ago as a customer. “They earned my business forever,” he said. So when a franchise opportunity became available, he knew that is what he wanted to do.

He said he enjoyed the process of opening the new shop and getting to know everyone in Taylorsville. He hopes residents will make Grease Monkey their local oil change and automotive repair expert.

“They went all out for the Ribbon Cutting,” Mayor Kristie Overson noted at a recent City Council meeting. “They gave us lunch. They had prizes. It was just really fun.

“We’re always happy when we can be to Ribbon Cuttings and support our local businesses,” she added. “They got off to a great start, and we wish them well.”

The Taylorsville Grease Monkey is one of more than 700 locations nationwide. They are open Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Find out more on their website, greasemonkeyauto.com
