Grand Opening
Post Date:11/24/2025 2:10 p.m.

Raising Cane's 1Raising Cane’s has officially opened its doors in Taylorsville, bringing its famous chicken finger meals to 5682 S. Redwood Road. The restaurant marked its debut on Nov. 18 with a high-energy Ribbon Cutting attended by city officials, ChamberWest and enthusiastic fans.

Crowds arrived early — some even lining up the night before — eager to be among the first served. The Taylorsville High cheer squad and Taylorsville Youth Ambassadors added spirit to the event, cheering on the opening and welcoming guests.

“What a party that was," Mayor Kristie Overson said at a recent City Council meeting. "I can't remember a Ribbon Cutting that was that exciting and vivacious. It was just really something special.”

Mayor Overson and City Council Members Bob Knudsen and Ernest Burgess even made history as the first customers through the Taylorsville Raising Cane's drive-thru.

“So we have that designation,” Mayor Overson joked. “But beyond that, it was just delightful to be with community members — with neighbors and friends — and celebrate this new business in our city. What a great opportunity it is to have them here."

Raising Cane’s is known for its simple yet beloved menu: hand-battered chicken fingers, crinkle-cut fries, Texas toast, coleslaw and the signature Cane’s Sauce. The restaurant focuses on quality and consistency, earning a dedicated following nationwide.

Raising Cane’s in Taylorsville is typically open 10 a.m. to midnight on weekdays and is open an hour later until 1 a.m. on weekends. Learn more and view the menu on their website.
