Early risers and brunch lovers in Taylorsville have a new place to start their day as First Watch opens its doors along Redwood Road, serving a menu built around fresh ingredients and made-to-order morning favorites.

The excitement surrounding the new restaurant was on full display Feb. 13 as city leaders, ChamberWest representatives and restaurant staff gathered for a Ribbon Cutting to celebrate First Watch’s arrival at 5596 S. Redwood Road. The new location marks the first restaurant in the immediate area for the growing daytime dining business.

First Watch is known for its chef-driven breakfast, brunch and lunch menu, prepared fresh each day. Guests can find a variety of signature dishes, including its popular Avocado Toast topped with thick-cut whole grain bread, fresh avocado, olive oil, lemon and Maldon sea salt. Other favorites include lemon ricotta pancakes, fluffy omelets filled with fresh ingredients, as well as Million Dollar Bacon, a sweet-and-spicy thick-cut bacon glazed with brown sugar, black pepper and cayenne.

The restaurant also offers a range of lighter options, such as power bowls with grains and vegetables, fresh salads and cold-pressed juices. Specialty coffee drinks and other morning beverages are also part of the menu.

“It was so much fun and a great event to celebrate their opening,” Mayor Kristie Overson said at a recent City Council meeting. “This is the first First Watch in our area, and we’re delighted that they chose Taylorsville.”
