The Break Serves Up New Gathering Spot in Taylorsville

The Break Ribbon CuttingFrom barbecue burnt end nachos and pickle fries to burgers, tacos, wings and mac and cheese, The Break Bar and Grill is serving up a full menu of favorites at its new Taylorsville location.

Taylorsville City and ChamberWest officials celebrated the restaurant’s opening at 5418 S. 1900 West with a ribbon cutting on June 10, welcoming the new business and its freshly remodeled space to the community.

The Break offers a casual spot for lunch, dinner, game-day gatherings or a night out with friends, with food and drinks, plenty of TVs and several entertainment options. Guests can also take part in Breaking Bingo, free-to-play Texas Hold’em Poker, beer pong and The Break’s own poker tournaments.

Managers Blade Brown and Jessica Blakeman said they are delighted to be in Taylorsville and are looking forward to hosting a variety of community events at the restaurant.

“We’ve been watching the progress of this restaurant with great anticipation, so we were excited when it opened and we could cut the ribbon there,” Mayor Kristie Overson said at a recent City Council meeting. “The menu looks so inviting. I can’t wait to try it.”
