The Engineering Department's primary objective is to plan, design and construct high-quality public infrastructure that serves as a foundation for the community. Responsibilities include the design of municipal infrastructure that adheres to budgetary and environmental requirements.

A recent project has entailed updating the city's documents governing storm water management.

Municipal Storm Water Management

The City of Taylorsville is permitted by the State of Utah to discharge urban storm water runoff under the Jordan Valley Municipalities permit. As required by this permit, the city has developed a Storm Water Management Plan implementing measures to improve storm water runoff. Click the buttons that follow to review that plan or report a problem involving Public Works operations.

The permit with the State Department of Environmental Quality is managed under the Municipal Storm Water Management Program and deals with storm water quality issues around Taylorsville. The documents for the Storm Water Management Program can be found at the buttons below.

Please contact the city's engineer with any comments, questions or concerns.
