This Assessment Report is staff’s detailed analysis of the current Land Development Code (LDC) that outlines the major issues to be addressed in the LDC Update project.

Recommendations in this report are based on staff’s independent analysis and stakeholder feedback. The Assessment Report includes potential new approaches for Taylorsville based on national and Utah best practices. The end of the report contains an Annotated Outline showing the proposed structure for how the LDC could be organized, serving as a roadmap for the remainder of the project.

We invite everyone to review this report and provide any feedback/comments to city staff. Comments are welcome anytime; however, we encourage you to submit comments by Feb. 22 to ensure city staff has time to review and implement your feedback early in the project.
