Planning and Zoning is a process dedicated to the concept of the public good (aka the public interest) that strives to improve communities by providing healthy and safe living conditions, efficient transportation systems, adequate public facilities, aesthetic surroundings, and an appropriate blend of land uses. The Taylorsville Planning Department is responsible for developing and implementing long-range master plans and ordinances, and providing staff support for the Taylorsville Planning Commission and City Council.
