The Taylorsville Planning Commission is comprised of seven appointed officials and one alternate member. Commission members are residents of the City and serve four-year terms. Commissioners are charged with the responsibility to administer zoning, subdivision and development related ordinances. The Commission also makes recommendations to the Mayor and City Council with regard to planning and community development decisions.

The Planning Commission meets the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month. A pre-meeting begins at 6 p.m., followed by the official meeting at 6:30 p.m. See the 2026 Meeting Schedule here.
