Following the incorporation of the City of Taylorsville in July of 1996, the Taylorsville City Council adopted the first codified edition of the City of Taylorsville Code of Ordinances in 1998. Since then, the city's ordinances have been amended numerous times. Indeed, the process of reviewing and amending city ordinances is a common and ongoing task of the city's legislative body.
