Artist's description of the art piece: "Three curved stainless steel tubes converge, creating a sense of balance and movement, to hold a mirror-finish stainless steel sphere. The tubing is polished and contrasts with the sphere which reflects its surrounding space and engages the viewer."

Dan particularly enjoys the challenge of creating sculptures using scrap, found items and recycled materials. “The most rewarding part for me is taking the normally rigid and structural steel and turning it into smooth unrestrained flowing lines, shapes and forms," he said.

Artist's bio: Dan spent 30 years welding stainless steel in the dairy and food processing industry.

After honing his skills in that industry, he began following his true passion which is creating metal sculpture. He enjoys taking what is normally rigid and structural steel and forming it into smooth unrestrained flowing lines, shapes and forms.

To Dan, this is like a second childhood, and he loves every minute he can be creating sculpture.
