Watch the 2025 presentation of Tombstone Tales below. The compilation includes eight videos from the event, held in September 2025 at the Taylorsville City Cemetery and hosted by the Taylorsville Historic Preservation Committee and Taylorsville Arts Council. In an effort to preserve and share Taylorsville’s history, volunteer actors portray prominent community trailblazers — many of whom are buried at the cemetery. Tombstone Tales 2025 marked the beloved event’s 27th anniversary.

Featured in the performances that follow are Jess Hansen as the sexton; Mayor Kristie Overson as her mother, Tombstone Tales Founder Mavis Steadman; Gideon Lemon and Lisa Caldwell as Harold Reid and Anna Matern; Kregg and Julie Clemens as Gaylan and Debra Luke; Dave Oldroyd as Owen Webster Frame; Aaron and Karina Christensen as James and Mabel Parker; and Susan Yadeskie as Mary Ellen Normington Cook.
