Artist's description of the art piece: "This piece features seven bird species found within the Jordan River and Great Salt Lake ecosystem.

"By highlighting these birds, the artwork draws attention to the beauty and magnificence of animals that play a vital role in the region’s natural environment."

Artist's bio: Chuck Landvatter is a Salt Lake City-based artist whose work blends traditional techniques with contemporary design, illustration, conceptual art and a graffiti-inspired aesthetic.

His art is informed by his experience growing up in the Intermountain West and often explores changing perceptions within an increasingly digital and social landscape.

Chuck earned a bachelor’s degree in interpersonal communication from the University of Utah and a Master of Fine Arts in drawing and painting from Utah State University.

He has also created artwork for public transportation spaces, including pieces for Ogden’s OGX stations.
