The piece reflects the energy and character of Taylorsville through a pop-inspired style that draws from landscape, culture, music, travel and regional identity. Its bright colors and dynamic composition are intended to catch the eye, activate the station space and create a sense of connection for riders and passersby.

Artist's bio: Elizabeth Carrington is a multidisciplinary artist known for colorful pop art paintings, public art and textiles that mix graffiti-style lettering, doodles, collage and graphic screen-printed imagery. Her work is fun, whimsical and sometimes subversive, informed by her lifelong love of travel, music, the outdoors and action sports.

Elizabeth earned a BFA from the University of Arizona and spent several years based in Utah’s Wasatch Mountains, where she competed in snowboard freestyle and big mountain competitions while traveling extensively. She later pursued a career in advertising and graphic design, a background that continues to influence her use of color, fonts and composition.
