Artist's description of the art piece: "Wherever we travel, the mountains follow and guide us along the Wasatch Range. For this piece, I focused on the mountain view from the bus stop itself. The Wasatch stretches from north to south, and the river flows along its base.

"Local pigments were sourced to create the mountains, giving the piece a natural feeling. I hope this artwork creates a sense of calm for those traveling and commuting."

Artist's bio: Erica M. Lyon has been creating art professionally for more than 20 years. For 14 of those years, she has lived in Ogden, Utah, where she works as an art teacher at Ben Lomond High School and remains active in the local arts community.

Her work interprets landscapes through elegant, bold and flowing lines. She simplifies the emotions she feels in nature in hopes of sharing with others the simple beauty of the natural world through flowing lines and bold colors.
