Description of the art piece: Inspired by Utah's iconic landscapes, "Mountain Moon Sun + Salt" celebrates the natural elements that define the region. Through bold color, layered imagery and flowing forms, the artwork brings together mountains, the sun, the moon and the Great Salt Lake to create a vibrant composition that reflects the beauty, energy and character of the Wasatch Front.

Artist's bio: Matt Monsoon is a Salt Lake City-based artist known for his murals, public sculptures and mixed media artwork found throughout Utah and the Intermountain West.

His expressive style combines vibrant color, flowing lines and subtle details to create artwork that celebrates community, imagination and a sense of place.

Matt has completed more than 25 large-scale public murals and numerous public art commissions, including works for libraries, transit stations, schools and civic spaces across Utah.
